Debbie Herndon, Director of Sales & Marketing for First Carolina Management has been involved for 28 years in hotel, restaurant, and fast-food sales and marketing.

Debbie worked as sales promotion and advertising assistant with Hardee's Food Systems. She joined Pearsall Operating Company in 1982 as Marketing and Sales Manager. In that position, Debbie was responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of all sales promotions, advertising, and public relation programs for the company's hotels, motels, restaurants (fast food and seated) and lounges.

Currently, Debbie is responsible for all advertising, promotional and public relation efforts within First Carolina Management, Inc. hotels and works closely with each franchise organization. She plans and coordinates sales and marketing efforts for the hotel sales staff and oversees the development and placement of all advertising/sales materials. In addition, she serves as liaison with the travel/trade agencies/vendors that are associated with the marketing efforts of First Carolina Management, Inc. hotels.

Debbie graduated from Appalachian State University and has furthered her advertising and sales experience by completing various educational seminars and training.

She has served the community as a United Way Community Volunteer, PTA officer, Rocky Mount Planning Board Member, Member of Junior Guild of Rocky Mount, and active in her church.

Debbie and her husband Stan reside in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. They have two children, Brett and Jessica.
