Virgil Evans joined the First Carolina Management Team in April 2009 as a Guest Service Representative at the Holiday Inn Rocky Mount. In September 2009, he was promoted to the Corporate Office, and currently serves as an Accountant in the Accounting Department.

Virgil earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with a major in Accounting at Appalachian State University. He began his career as a Jr. Accountant at a CPA Firm in Rocky Mount and then made a career change to the Hospitality Industry. He gained extensive knowledge of hotel operations and accounting over 33 years in the following positions: Night Auditor, Guest Service Representative, Guest Service Manager, Rooms Manager, Reservations Manager, Hotel Controller, and Corporate Hotel Internal Auditor.

Virgil's responsibilities include reviewing the Daily Revenue reports, implementing internal control procedures, and performing data entry for hotel revenue and cash flow. He also provides accounting support for the General Managers and Department Heads at the Hotels. He is very conscious of environmental issues and is committed to reducing paper usage and helping to make First Carolina Management a greener company.

Virgil resides in his hometown of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
